TVCC or Treasure Valley Community College is located on the banks of Indian Creek in Downtown Caldwell. The new location opened in the fall of 2010.
TVCC’s new Caldwell Center is located on the banks of Indian Creek in downtown Caldwell, at 205 S. 6th Ave – at the intersection of Blaine and 6th. The Student Services office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, with available college placement and academic advising services. Office of Admission staff can be contacted during office hours at (208) 454-9911 or by e-mailing the Director, Kathleen Robinson, PhD at krobinson@tvcc.cc.
Current quarterly class offerings include core general education courses in Math, Science, English, History, Sociology and Art as well as Early Childhood Education, Computer Science, Business and Education. As a low-cost alternative to the first two years of a university education, many Caldwell Center students participate in a 2-year block transfer program which enables them to enroll with junior class standing at 4-year institutions in Idaho and Oregon.
Increasing numbers of TVCC students are also enrolled in one and two-year degree programs associated with certification in varied trades and technical careers. TVCC’s courses in Automated Office Training Program, One Year Emergency Medical or Electrical Apprenticeship Program are examples of specialized training courses leading to high demand occupations in the Treasure Valley.

The Caldwell Chamber of Commerce is hosting Music on the Creek every Thursday from 11:30am to 1:30pm on the grass just below the gazebo at Kimball & Blaine. Come down during your lunch break, bring a blanket or lawn chair along with your lunch and relax to some great music.
Thursday, July 14 listen to Bill McKeeth, Single Car Garage Band. 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Bring your lunch and a blanket or chair and enjoy!!!
This even happens on Wednesday’s at 4 PM. Look for several local vendors at Blaine and 7th Avenue.

CNR History
The Caldwell Night Rodeo was organized in 1935 as part of the festivities to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the beginning of irrigation on the Boise project. It was called the Homesteaders’ Silver Jubilee and Night Rodeo. Lights were installed on the grounds and the first night rodeo to be held in southern Idaho was witnessed by thousands of people. Stock was provided by Everett Colborn and Doc Sorenson and $2,500 was put up in prize money. Kid Combs of Caldwell, a professional bronc buster, was the first cowboy to file his name on the entry list for the rodeo.
The rodeo became an annual event in Caldwell and grew bigger and better every year in the l930s thanks to the work and support of the community. It continued into the l940s and only missed two years during the war when President Roosevelt requested that such events not be held.
Tex Ritter, a popular singing cowboy, was the first star of the Caldwell. That was in 1947, and throughout that decade, large crowds and local enthusiasm abounded at the night rodeo.
